It’s official, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow yesterday,
and we are in for six more weeks of Winter.
Although that may not be the news we wanted to hear, there is some good
news too. The good news is Scrappin’
Happily Ever After’s new store and class schedule is a big hit. With all those cold and blustery days in
store for us, we will have no problems filling our time with a variety of
crafting classes, workshops, and stocking up on crafting products at S.H.E.A!
January Recap
The January classes were well attended and all of the classes
in were full or near full of participants.
Class participants learned how to navigate their way around their
Silhouette software, created some vinyl and card projects, made layouts, and
more.
February Fun
Ivy has many more classes planned out for February,
including more Silhouette skills and project classes, one on one Silhouette
classes with Ivy, another scrapbook page layout, and some card classes too. With class sizes being kept small, make sure
you take a look at the calendar and call Ivy to register for the classes you
want to participate in before they fill up.
You will see a new event on the February calendar – The
Homeschoolers and Mom’s Morning Out on Wedneday, February 25th. This is a great morning
out to connect with other home schooled children and Moms! Bring the kiddos! Coffee
and tools will be supplied to work on their craft projects for
school/play. Punches, dies & paper cutting machines will be on hand
to help assist you in your child's studies. You may decide to use today
to let the kids craft while you connect with other Moms! We have free Wi-Fi,
craft rooms with tables and chairs, non-consumable tools for use and offer many
supplies available for purchase. All are welcome but pre-registration is
required. Cost is just $5 per person. Call Ivy if you have
questions, and to pre-register for your spots.
(Note: This is not a drop off service. Children must have an adult
attend with them.)
There are also some regular monthly S.H.E.A events on the
calendar including the Not Project Life classes and the super fun Crop
Day. The February Crop Day will be on Saturday, February 21st from 10am – 10pm
(stay all day, or if not come for a while, what ever works best for you). If you have not yet attended one of S.H.E.A’s
crop days, give it a try. It is a
fantastic way to get some time devoted specifically to the crafting projects
you want to work on. It is also a great
way to connect with other crafters, whether it be scrapbooking, card making, home
décor, working with mixed media, practicing and playing with your die cutting
machine, and more. There are more details for all events and classes on the
calendar. Make sure to call Ivy and
register for your spots!

New Color of the Month by Tim Holtz
One last thing to announce before
we wrap up. Have you heard of the new
Tim Holtz Distress Color of the Month series for 2015? If not, check out the Color of the Month for
January. It is called Cracked Pistachio,
and it is a beautiful color that is both modern and retro at the same time.
Each month, Tim Holtz will be
releasing a limited supply of that month’s new color. There are several products in the same color
including an
ink pad, re-inker, marker, stain, paint, and spray stain. With these great
new colors, there will also be a new “club” at S.H.E.A that you can join. If you are interested in the Tim Holtz Color
of the Month Club, give Ivy a call. The
details are still being worked out, but for those that commit to the monthly
club, you will be guaranteed to get your products before they become available
to others (remember there is limited availability of these products each
month). There will be discounts on the
products, as well as workshops and classes using the new colors and Tim Holtz products. Doesn’t that sound fun? Also, if you have not seen the other new Tim
Holtz product – the mini 1” square ink pads, they are adorable….and some are in
stock at S.H.E.A now.
Happy
February everyone.
