All of the latest scoop!

As you already know...I have not been the best at updating our blog.  I know, I know...BUT, that DOES NOT mean we haven't been busy at S.H.E.A.  In fact it is one of the reasons I don't update our blog as often as I should.  I won't make any promises that I may not be able to keep, but I will tell you that we have more really awesome things planned at S.H.E.A.

Over this past year we have had a wonderful designer join us to teach at S.H.E.A.  If you haven't had the pleasure of meeting Samantha (or Sam as we lovingly refer to her) then you are missing out on a real treat!  Sam is a ray of sweet inky sunshine that loves everything distressed...but really cute.  You are probably thinking ...distress? Cute?  Do they go in the same sentence?  YES!  They absolutely do!  Sam designs for several different stamp companies and is just a phenomenal woman all around.  Stop by her blog and giver her some love! Tell her I sent you because we love her so much!

We have already started our holiday classes! Cards, giftables, home decor and more!  We decided to take the next few months to bring you all of the holiday projects that are floating around in our heads.  There is never enough time to get everything in after Thanksgiving.  When you see Christmas card classes along with back to school items...it's not that we want to rush the holidays.  We just want to make sure we can fit all of the fabulous projects in before the holidays are here again!  Make sure you check our online calendar often for details.

Our FALL CRAFT YARD SALE is ON THE CALENDAR!  Our date is set for Saturday, November 7, 2015 beginning at 8 a.m. RAIN OR SHINE!  Now is the time to get your consignor number and begin cleaning out your craft room.

FALL SALE: SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2015!!!

I am so excited that the newest edition to the Silhouette America family of products is now shipping!  YES! Our first shipments of Curios should be on their way!!!  I absolutely cannot wait to get my hands on this.  It does not replace our wonderful Silhouette Cameo machines.  It is a very welcome edition to the family and extends what we can do even further...WHOA!

Check it out in action by clicking here!

There is so much more...but you'll just have to stop in to see us!  See you soon!

February – A Month of Fun at S.H.E.A

It’s official, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow yesterday, and we are in for six more weeks of Winter.  Although that may not be the news we wanted to hear, there is some good news too.  The good news is Scrappin’ Happily Ever After’s new store and class schedule is a big hit.  With all those cold and blustery days in store for us, we will have no problems filling our time with a variety of crafting classes, workshops, and stocking up on crafting products at S.H.E.A!

January Recap
The January classes were well attended and all of the classes in were full or near full of participants.  Class participants learned how to navigate their way around their Silhouette software, created some vinyl and card projects, made layouts, and more.

February Fun
Ivy has many more classes planned out for February, including more Silhouette skills and project classes, one on one Silhouette classes with Ivy, another scrapbook page layout, and some card classes too.  With class sizes being kept small, make sure you take a look at the calendar and call Ivy to register for the classes you want to participate in before they fill up.
You will see a new event on the February calendar – The Homeschoolers and Mom’s Morning Out on Wedneday, February 25th. This is a great morning out to connect with other home schooled children and Moms! Bring the kiddos! Coffee and tools will be supplied to work on their craft projects for school/play.  Punches, dies & paper cutting machines will be on hand to help assist you in your child's studies.  You may decide to use today to let the kids craft while you connect with other Moms! We have free Wi-Fi, craft rooms with tables and chairs, non-consumable tools for use and offer many supplies available for purchase.  All are welcome but pre-registration is required.  Cost is just $5 per person.  Call Ivy if you have questions, and to pre-register for your spots.  (Note: This is not a drop off service. Children must have an adult attend with them.)

There are also some regular monthly S.H.E.A events on the calendar including the Not Project Life classes and the super fun Crop Day.  The February Crop Day will be on Saturday, February 21st from 10am – 10pm (stay all day, or if not come for a while, what ever works best for you).  If you have not yet attended one of S.H.E.A’s crop days, give it a try.  It is a fantastic way to get some time devoted specifically to the crafting projects you want to work on.  It is also a great way to connect with other crafters, whether it be scrapbooking, card making, home décor, working with mixed media, practicing and playing with your die cutting machine, and more. There are more details for all events and classes on the calendar.  Make sure to call Ivy and register for your spots!

New Color of the Month by Tim Holtz

One last thing to announce before we wrap up.  Have you heard of the new Tim Holtz Distress Color of the Month series for 2015?  If not, check out the Color of the Month for January.  It is called Cracked Pistachio, and it is a beautiful color that is both modern and retro at the same time.

Each month, Tim Holtz will be releasing a limited supply of that month’s new color.  There are several products in the same color including an ink pad, re-inker, marker, stain, paint, and spray stain. With these great new colors, there will also be a new “club” at S.H.E.A that you can join.  If you are interested in the Tim Holtz Color of the Month Club, give Ivy a call.  The details are still being worked out, but for those that commit to the monthly club, you will be guaranteed to get your products before they become available to others (remember there is limited availability of these products each month).  There will be discounts on the products, as well as workshops and classes using the new colors and Tim Holtz products.  Doesn’t that sound fun?  Also, if you have not seen the other new Tim Holtz product – the mini 1” square ink pads, they are adorable….and some are in stock at S.H.E.A now.

Happy February everyone.

2015 is Here!!!

Change is in the air….and change can be good for us.  It always seems as soon as the holiday season gets over, and January arrives there is a need to re-evaluate, plan ahead for the upcoming year, get organized, and set new goals.  Well, all of that is happening at Scrappin’ Happily Ever After.  Realizing that time just goes by way too fast and wanting to better serve the S.H.E.A customers, there are some exciting new changes happening at S.H.E.A in January.

Effective Monday, January 12th, S.H.E.A. will have a completely revamped schedule.  Why?  An evaluation of when customers were coming into the store, as well as having requests for more classes led to a need to switch things up.  What does this mean for you?  It means more classes and projects on a more regular basis.  And for those that have been requesting classes later in the day, we’ve got you covered too.  Check out the new hours on the right hand side of the blog page, and you will see there are two types of hours for S.H.E.A now – shopping hours and class hours!

Are you excited yet?  I know I am.  But wait there’s more.  Ivy is planning out several weeks of classes in advance so you can plan ahead and sign up for the time that works for you.  January classes and events are already posted, and February classes will be posted during this upcoming week.  Check the calendar and make sure you call in and sign up for the classes you want.  As always, space is limited so the attention in class can remain personal.

With all these new classes we had to figure out how to handle registration.  Here is how it will go… Registration for any of the non-Silhouette classes are open for registration as soon as they are posted.  Registration for Silhouette classes will go a bit differently. As always, there will be some preference for the S.H.E.A Silhouette Cameo Club members in regard to registration for Silhouette classes.  Each month when Ivy updates the calendar, the blog will be updated, an email will be sent, and a post will be put on Facebook.  When the notice goes out, there will be specified Cameo Club VIP registration days for the Silhouette classes.  After those days pass, registration will open to all interested.  For example, for the Silhouette classes being offered in January, the VIP registration days for Cameo Club members will be until the end of day Thursday, January 15th.  After that registration is open to all.  With several classes each month, we are sure we can accommodate all our VIP club members as well as all the others who have been wanting Silhouette classes.
So what are you waiting for?  Check out the calendar.  You will find scrapbook layout classes, Silhouette technical skills classes, Silhouette project classes all on the calendar for January. Click on the class descriptions for all the details.  In upcoming months additional classes such as card making, working with multimedia, mini albums, crafting home décor, and more will be added.
If you have not done so, subscribe to this blog so you get updates when new posts are made.  The Blog and Facebook will be the primary tools of communication regarding what is going on at the store.  For all those Facebookers, don’t forget to friend the store page!
Welcome to 2015 and welcome to Scrappin’ Happily Ever After (version 2.0)!
