Thank You!

Oh My Goodness! I just HAD to take a moment to say THANK YOU to ALL of YOU for coming out to show your support for my Grand Opening! It was certainly just that! I never had a moment to sit...and why would I want to? My tiara enjoyed the attention! LOL!

I would like to send a very special Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Barbara Ellis for creating such a fabulous spread of food...I think I gained 10 pounds in 3 days! I also want to send a super special Thank you out to Tina Rivera who has worked extremely hard over the past few weeks. Tina also created the very special bookmark / calendars we gave away during our grand opening. I would also like to say Thank you to Cara Castro who not only has brought lunch (which has been sooooo appreciated...because I stay hungry!!! LOL) but also made my favorite pumpkin bread, brownies, cookies & donated her time to help get some things out in the store. I have some pretty fabulous friends. Thank you :-).

There has been such an out pouring of support. So many have offered their help, given an encouraging word, a hug and so much more. This is a fabulous journey I'm on, and I am so thankful that you all are here to share it with me! Let's get ready for the ride...it's just beginning!

The party goes on through Sunday! You can stop by Sunday after church beginning at 1 p.m. We close early on Sunday (at 5 p.m.), but you can still stop by for your last minute discounts!!!

Scrap Pink Update!

I have updates! I am pleased to announce the finer details of our scrap pink weekend! LOL! Sign up soon as space is limited!!! A portion of your class/crop fees will be donated to the Susan G. Komen foundation so please come out & support the cause. We will be cropping for a cure on Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.! WOO HOO! Bring your own pink ribbon...and pictures...and paper...and whatever else you wanna bring! LOL! I have enough plug outlets for everyone... and of course...there's FREE WI-FI! I will also provide light refreshments. Don't forget... YOU WILL ALSO RECEIVE A 10% DISCOUNT ON ANY PURCHASE YOU MAKE ON FRIDAY just for attending the crop! The cost is just $15 per person! Saturday is our BIGGIE CROP DAY! We will be cropping for a cure from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.! Our day will be catered with FABULOUS MEALS! I must post our menu (even though it makes me hungry!)...

On Sunday I am offering a Basic Grey Album Class from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. & you can stay & crop from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.! For those of you attending this class you will receive lots of goodies by Basic Grey! Everyone attending will receive a milk chocolate chipboard album, 1 package of designer chocolate rub ons, 1 porcelain 36 page 6x6 paper pad, (1) 66 pcs. package of colored buttons, 1 full sheet of porcelain cardstock alpha stickers, 1 package of mellow ribbon & a few extra items that we will be adding to our albums to make them complete! Scrap Pink!

I finally have an update for our in store SCRAP PINK events! I received my Basic Grey order, Fancy Pants & Prima today! It felt like Christmas ;-). With that being said, I am excited to announce our fabulous schedule of events for scrap pink!

Some of you may be asking...What is Scrap Pink?

Scrapbooks etc. is partnering with Susan G. Komen for the Cure® to hold the 3rd Annual "Scrap Pink" fundraising campaign in September 2009 at independent retail stores across North America.

The campaign will culminate in an exciting on-site crop hosted by each participating shop the weekend of September 25-27, 2009. Scrapbookers are invited to enjoy a fun-filled event at their local scrapbook shop! Scrapbookers all across the nation will come together to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer.

A portion of your crop fee will support Komen for the Cure's promise to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all, and energizing science to find the cures.

Guess what? WE ARE A SCRAP PINK SHOP!

Scrappin' Happily Ever After has a FABULOUS weekend planned beginning Friday, September 25 through Sunday, September 27. Come crop for a cure, one day, or join us for all three!

I'll try to post pictures soon, but trust me...there's more than enough stuff for a few more projects!

Store Updates!

I am so excited! I have been receiving new shipments and getting them to the floor as quickly as possible. The COMPLETE Abbey Road collection ,by My Minds Eye, just went out today! It is a FABULOUS collection, of beautiful textured cardstocks, diecuts, ribbons & decorative brads! There is not one piece that isn't absolutely delicious!!!

I also have a pretty complete line of Flower Soft out! There are stamps, wires, toppers, instructional DVD's, Kits, & of course...LOTS of Flower Soft Colors! Get them before they're all gone! Did I mention that on Friday, September 11... ALL FLOWER SOFT ITEMS ARE 10% OFF???!!! ;-)

The Cricut 101 class is just about FULL! We are going to have lots of fun :-)! There's plenty of room & no time limits! LOL! You know what that means ladies!!!

The Store is OPEN!

It has been a busy busy week! Very exciting to say the least. I didn't think we were going to make it...as my eyes were seeing double on more than one occasion! I entered sku numbers into the system one by one...by one!!! I had the most wonderful helpers :-). They tirelessly stuck by me and their efforts are greatly appreciated.

We opened on Friday and I got a bit teary eyed to see the support from all of my friends I have met along the way. Thank you for the support and love each of you have shown, in so many different ways.

This past weekend was absolutely FABULOUS! I never had a moment to sit! The time passed so quickly! I loved meeting many new people and catching up with my friends, that I haven't had time to talk to, over the past few weeks. I quickly learned that I'm going to need to accommodate some of my gentleman customers! I must work on "the man area" SOON! I enjoyed seeing all of the fabulous hubby's out shopping with their wives this weekend! Many were U.S. Navy and I hope you all know how I feel about that! Hooyah! Go Navy! :-)

I have been trying to get all of my new goodies to the floor as quickly as possible. I will try to download pics tomorrow, but the New Flower Soft is HERE! I have lots of colors, including the new Polar White! I have kits, stamps, toppers, etc. Come by and check out the video display!

Abbey Road will also be on the floor this week. This line is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I'm expecting my Prima and Basic grey orders this week, too! I can't wait to get more boxes with sku numbers! LOL!

Classes begin soon and our first crop will be Scrap Pink...cropping for a cure! I'll have more news about the classes and crops this week so stay tuned! :-)
